Unfortunately, Duolingo longua have a Latin course yet, and it seems that they are in no hurry to build one, although people have been asking for it for a long time. Starting with the simple -s, -m, -t sentence, it quickly works its way up to the complexities of poetry. The book teaches a good number of words and a good amount of grammar, which you start to understand naturally.

Nevertheless, I felt a little saddened to see Orberg end the series latona having exercises that were essentially just old-fashioned charts. I read the first 3 chapters so far I stopped at the exercises in Chapter 3. Set up a giveaway.

I think LL is excellent. A wonderful book, and you’ll come away with a pretty good grasp of the language after finishing it.

This is mostly for the danish crowd. We read aloud in class but do not translate into English unless there is a passage that someone has trouble with. Not that you can probably teach yourself Latin without assistance, but this book is simply grand with teaching!
